What exactly does being the best me encompass? I have sat down and made a list of goals that I want to accomplish, some of them big, some of them small, but all of them able to impact my life in a positive way. So, here are the things I will be working on:
1. Organization-I can't be a better me if I can never find anything.
2. Procrastination-So much of my grief has been caused by waiting until the last minute on everything and then I have to do everything at once and it is just overwhelming. I could eliminate so much stress in my life by just doing things when they need done.
3. Eating better-When my eating habbits are poor, I feel terrible, yet I find comfort in food. I need to, as they say, eat to live, not live to eat.
4. Excercise more-I have so many friends that excercise regularly and they feel fantastic. I have been so lazy when it comes to my body and physical fitness and I need a change. I am now thirty, and although this is not elderly in anyway, things do begin to change. Body parts hurt that never used to and everything is shifting a little more to the south than I would like.
5. Work on my self-esteem-I have very poor self-esteem and it truly does effect my quality of life. I often wonder how I got here, but it is what it is and I need to move forward.
6. Stop Stressing-I stress over EVERYTHING and as you see from above, most of it is self-inflicted. Stress has taken a negative toll on my over-all health and I need to do something about it.
7. Work on my spending habbits and lower my debt-I love to shop, especially for my kids and I often time buy things that we do not need. Now, we are able to meet our bills and everything, but the amount we pay on credit card bills a month would pay a car payment. I don't want to do this anymore. I was raised in a home that the motto was you never buy what you do not have the money for and I have strayed from that motto. I am getting student loans right now to pay for my schooling, but if I didn't have the credit card debt I could probably pay almost all of it on my own.
Now, the plan of attack. How am I going to do all of this? I plan on reading, researching and talking to as many people as possible to help me find the best ways to accomplish theses goals. I know the first thing I need to do is to make myself a to-do list everyday and follow it religiously. This may sound like a little thing, but it is necessary.
Now, it is time to begin my day and to start working on my organization skills. Wish me luck!!
